Kasimpasa Ready to Offer Uche Pay Rise

Kasimpasa are ready to offer their Nigerian striker Kalu Uche a lucrative contract to wade off offers from Turkish giants Galatasaray and Fenerbahce in the summer. The out-of-favour Super Eagles midfielder-cum-striker has been the club's top scorer in his debut season with 13 goals in the Super Lig since joining from Spanish side Espanyol and his coach Shota Arveladze is prepared to offer the former Almeria player an improved contract if the club finish in the Europa League spot at the end of the season. "He has proved his class in the team and we want to keep him beyond next season," Arveladze declares. Newly promoted Kasimpasa are currently placed seventh on the Turkish log with 33 points from 23 games and will face Trabzonspor next Sunday in the Super Lig. The player who scored two goals for Nigeria at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa against Greece and South Korea last featured for the national team in a friendly game against Zambia in Kaduna in 2012. Uche has scored five goals in 34 appearances for the Super Eagles.
